#Guatemala – Free Blackberry course

Thank you to RIM for this info:

BlackBerry is a Canadian company at the forefront of a revolution in mobile computing. We have a strong interest in ensuring the next generation of computer science and engineering graduates are mobile-savvy because of the high demand for professionals with such technical skills.

That is why we created the BlackBerry Academic Program (BAP) to help universities and colleges around the world integrate mobile computing concepts into their programs. The program commenced in 2009 and is now operating in over 700 universities in more than 100 countries where lecturers and researchers can access content, instructor guides,BlackBerry devices and software and development tools, with the added benefit of networking with a growing academic community who are delivering similar courses to share ideas. Using the BlackBerry Academic Program, professors around the world are teaching foundational concepts: BlackBerry 10 WebWorks (HTML5) and BlackBerry 10 Native SDK/Cascades (C++) to name a few. A further benefit is access to entrance passes for BlackBerry events such as BlackBerry Jam where you will have the opportunity to meet RIM staff, local developers and fellow academics.

It is quick and easy to register and to start benefiting from the program resources. There is an online form to complete athttps://www.blackberry.com/profile/?eventId=8257 to gain immediate access to the on-line resources and there are no associated costs or fees.

nce you have signed up for the program, we now have Spanish training content for BlackBerry 10 which became available a few weeks ago. You should be able to view the material through this link.  It is stored under the heading “BlackBerry 10” in two zip files.  http://us.blackberry.com/company/blackberry-academic-program/instructor-resources.html#tab-4
